the AI non-alignment

WÆRE pop-up in hamburg

if you don’t have anything to say, say nothing. we are drowning in noise. every scroll brings another post trying to sound profound but saying absolutely nothing. i often catch myself scrolling endlessly, hoping to stumble upon something real, something that makes me stop and think. instead, i end up wondering—how the heck did this get thousands of likes? and worse, why do they all sound the same? copies of copies of copies. ai made that even louder. it’s like the era when everyone overused filters and facetune, but now it’s text. on linkedin, captions sound like a robot trying to sound human—but on drugs. who talks like that? and don’t get me wrong—chatgpt is still my favorite tool of the day. i love how it makes my work easier. but there’s a line between using a tool and letting it speak for you.

WHEN AI STARTS SPEAKING LOUDER THAN YOU

recently, i had the pleasure of leading a workshop on “personal branding in the age of ai”, in a room full of inspiring women in business. huge thanks to laura and emily for creating “healthy women in business.” we talked about personal branding and how ai fits into it. because let’s be honest—if ai can design, write, and plan content, do we still need a personal brand? my answer is yes. more than ever. because your personal brand is your story, your why. and that’s something ai can’t replicate.

someone in the audience asked me about my own personal brand. i told them my story. i was born in slovenia and grew up in austria. early on, i wanted to create visibility for people who didn’t have enough of it—in my case, mostly white women. my first big project was a racing and driving event called “sorry boys, the curves are ours!” later, i began to see how much social background and financial privilege shape our paths. that realization led me to dei—diversity, equity & inclusion. it gave my work a name and a deeper purpose. i learned that to truly include people, you have to see them fully, in all their colors and stories. i’m still learning, still trying. dei has always been at the heart of what i do, including now with wære. my why never changed—only how i express it did.

and that’s the point. once you understand your why, ai becomes your assistant, not your voice. ask chatgpt to help you shape your ideas, but don’t let it replace your thinking. keep your tone, your rhythm, your messiness. that’s what makes you human. start a conversation on the topic in this instagram post or get my brand new e-book.

YOU ARE SUCH A POWER MOM

to be honest, i don’t think we should keep using that phrase. we are all powerful in our own ways. how we experience and manage motherhood is next level on its own, shaped by our different circumstances, strengths, and possibilities.

yes, i did moderate the workshop with my boy asleep in my arms. not because it looked cute or empowering, but because i had no other option. he fell asleep during preparations, and i just kept him there. my friend svenja was in the audience, ready to jump in if i needed help. sometimes we simply do what needs to be done.

but if we really want to talk about moms staying in business, then we have to accept children as part of it. i’ll be honest — i still prefer to work without my son on my lap, because it takes double the energy. but sometimes, there’s no other way. and when that happens, it has to be okay for everyone.

this for i created a podcast. "I AM A MOMMY" are honest conversations with friends. to show that motherhood can be the most challenging and beautiful at the same time. hit follow and don’t miss the first episode with ALINA GRANDT, about our mom brain. yes this is real and we can still learn so much about this.

NOTE2SELF

while the world expects me to be happy, i broke inside. motherhood broke me. society. the system. i went all in — postpartum depression — without even seeing it coming. looking back, there is a blurry and foggy memory filled with pain. becoming a mom took the life i built over a decade — my career, my financial security, and my independence. i had to completely redefine and rebuild myself. and i am still in the process. i’m torn because i chose a time-out from my career to be in these precious moments with my child. i chose to build slowly. but it feels like time is working against me. i’m still becoming.
